Remelted Lead (97%-99%)

Lead Concentrate

Lead Concentrate is used in the production of lead metal and lead alloys. The ignition temperature of lead concentrate is approximately 500-600ºC.

Lead Concentrate is insoluble in water and it has generally low direct bioavailability. However, extended exposure in the aquatic and terrestrial environments can lead to the release of contained metals in bioavailability forms.

The Lead Concentrate which contains 50% to 60% lead, is dried and then treated using pyrometallurgy. The Lead concentrate is sintered before being smelted in to produce a 97% Lead Concentrate. The lead is then cooled in stages which cause the lighter impurities to rise to the surface where they can be removed.
